Alicante
Alicante: The second most populated city in the Valencian community, which was founded by the Greeks under the name Akra Leuké (“white promontory”), then the Romans named it Castrum Album (“white fortress”) and Lucentum (place of light), and by the arrival of the Arabs this name was converted to al-Laqant (Current name in Valencian) and in spanish Alicante.

Alicante: La segunda ciudad más poblada de la comunidad valenciana, que fue fundada por los griegos con el nombre de Akra Leuké (“promontorio blanco”), luego los romanos la llamaron Castrum Album (“fortaleza blanca”) y Lucentum (lugar de luz) , y con la llegada de los árabes este nombre se convirtió en al-Laqant (nombre actual en valenciano) y en español Alicante.
