Castillo de Chirel

Located in Cortes de Pallás, in the Umbría de Chirel, we find a spectacular hiking route. Hiking up to the Castle of Chirel, we will enjoy the amazing landscape that this place has to offer.

Situado en Cortes de Pallás, en la Umbría de Chirel, encontramos una espectacular ruta de senderismo. Subiendo hasta el Castillo de Chirel, disfrutaremos del increíble paisaje que ofrece este lugar. Los impresionantes miradores y el rico patrimonio cultural hacen de este camino una experiencia única. Sobre la colina, finalmente encontramos el Castillo. Fue un edificio muy importante y un lugar clave para el control estratégico del comercio de la ruta del Júcar. Se remonta al siglo XV y hay constancia de que esta fortaleza fue una de las más importantes de la zona. En la actualidad, el castillo se encuentra en grave peligro, por lo que está siendo objeto de grandes restauraciones.
