Hiking in the snow
Our previous idea was to go to “Cerro Calderon” the highest peak in Comunidad Valenciana. But the intensity of the snow on the roads made us change our final destination.
We will fo the ADEMUS (Exclave of the valencian comunity) We are going to a mix of the routes PR-CV 131.6 and PR-CV 131.5 between Ademuz, Vall de la Sabina and Casas Altas.
A very very beautiful place with full of snow, aprrox 1 hours 40 minutes from Valencia.

We will mix two hiking trek, PR-CV 131.6 and PR-CV 131.5 (Maps down)
Difficulty: medium (12km with 150m elevation gain).
Technical level: medium (hiking on snow).
Height: 800 meters
Total time: 5 hours

Although this route does not require prior hiking in snow experience, but at least you must have a good physical condition or previous experience in the mountains.

Bring warm clothes (if that wasn’t obvious 🙂 by now), wearing several layers
Suitable and warm shoes,, Best would be hiking boots, otherwise some impermeable shoes. The ground shall be frozen, so some parts can be tricky, as in walking on ice
2 changes of socks in case of snow for wet feet as well as 2 pairs of shoes, One for walking another one to change when we are back.
Warm undershirt & under pants
A extra pair of clothes, we will keep in the bus, In case of heavy snow to change.
Food & Water (There is no place to buy)
Sunscreen if you are sensible to sun.
warm clothes, if they are impermeable better.
