We arrive in Cuenca – it’s time for discovering exploring this amazing city, and free time to drink something together.
Alarcón sits on a rocky hill, almost completely encircled by a loop of the Júcar River. In the 8th century, an Arab fortress was built on the promontory above the river, making it a strategic defensive position.
Our hike will take us thrugh the most amazing landscapes of the region, with mesmerizing views and the joy of discovering new places!
A Journey Through Time
Entering the village of Alarcón feels like stepping back through the centuries. The narrow strip of land between two bends of the river, just wide enough for the road, leads you through a series of medieval gateways into the heart of the town.
Historical and Artistic Significance
Alarcón has been awarded artistic-historic status due to its dramatic location on a rocky cliff above a bend of the Júcar River, combined with the town’s historic charm and significant architectural heritage.
Cuenca
Cuenca is a small city in the south of Castilla, whose historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has a unique characteristic, indeed, it is located atop of a rocky hill, with some parts of the town at 946 meters above sea level, and it even has houses hanging in the air, looking over the Júcar river.
While the new part of the city (“New Town”) is in the valley, the historic center is still on the hill. Going up to see it can sometimes be a challenge, as the stairs are partly steep.

We arrive, have a small break and we start the hike.
After an amazing day together we go back to Valencia.
Up to one week before the event: 100% refund, either in cash or as a credit voucher, based on your preference.
From one week to 72 hours before: 100% refund only as a credit voucher.
Less than 72 hours before: No refunds.
In case of a medical emergency or force majeure (with valid proof), or due to weather conditions, the event will be rescheduled, or the credit voucher will be issued for use within one year.
Proof of emergency must be submitted before the event. No refunds after the event.
