Culla
Medieval Spain can be best represented by Culla which is in the list of top 15 most beautiful villages of Spain (selected by Pueblos más Bonitos de España). Its old town was declared as a Site of Cultural Interest featuring various restored buildings, streets, alleys, churches, plazas and the ruins of the castle all fulfilled with history and tradition.
Culla stands out by its unique geography and sharp contrasts resulted by elevation of the city which ranges from the 395 m to the 1,121 m of the town center. The city is characterized by steep slopes, deep ravines, caves and potholes.
Origins and history: as evidenced by archaeological remains and cave paintings, Culla existed since prehistoric times. The city has an Arab foundation, but because of the important strategic role of the fortress (Castillo de Culla) it was sold to the Knights Templar in 14th century. During the wars in the 19th century the spectacular castle was destroyed, leaving just the structure of what makes up the town today.

When we talk about the most beautiful towns in Castellón, it is impossible not to mention Ares del Maestrat, with a fascinating tourist offer. If you have not yet visited this town, we will take you to this wonderful place so that you can discover everything there is to do in this town in the Castellón province.
Program:
9:00 Leaving Valencia
Meeting point Avenida Aragon 31 (In front of Mestalla)
11:00 Arriving to Culla
11:00 we will arrive to culla and discover this beautiful village, visit castle and eat until 14.30.
14:30 Leaving for Ares del Maestrat
Leaving at 14:30 we will arrive around 15:30, and we will visit another beautiful village untill 18:00
18:30 Coming back to Valencia
We will meet at 18:15 in the bus and 18:30 coming back to Valencia.
Food and drinks: You can bring from home and or eat at a restaurant there
Clothes: Bring confortable clothes because we will walk a lot, and don’t forget to bring a jacket because during evening it can get cold.
