A fairytale journey into the past. We travel back more than 800 years to visit natural landscapes, dreamlike waterfalls, fairytale lakes, enchanting hiking trails, art and architecture. It is located about 3 hours from Valencia. 
The Monasterio de Piedra, designated as a Cultural Monument, is one of the most spectacular and visited places in Spain.
This paradisiacal place is located in the village of Nuévalos in Zaragoza, on the banks of the river Pierda, with impressive waterfalls such as Trinidad, la Caprichosa or la Cola Caballo (53 m high). Magical corners like El Baño de Diana, el Lago del Espejo, la Peña del Diablo. Furthermore, centenary trees, spectacular paths, mystical places like la Gruta de Iris and impressive towers like la Torre del Homenaje, the symbol of the Monasterio de Piedra.
The history of the monastery dates back to 1186, when the king of Aragon Alfonso II donated the land to the monks of the monastery of Poblet. In 1203 they began to build the monastic buildings. In 1218 the monks occupied the monastery. In 1983 the monastery was declared a national historic and artistic monument, in 2009 it was declared a site of cultural interest. And in 2011 it was awarded the medal of tourist merit by the government of aragon.


6:00 Leaving
We meet at 5:45 (in front of Mestalla) and leave at 6:00.
09:00 Arrival at the Monasterio de Piedra park.
We arrive at Monasterio de Piedra around 10:00 am. Then you have 3 hours of free time to explore the historic park-garden of the Monasterio de Piedra.
14:00 - 16:00 Lunch
14:00 We will go to a nearby village (probably Calatayud) to have lunch or visit. If you don’t want to, you can stay in the monastery.
16:00 back to monastery
16:00 – 18:00 time to explore the Monasterio de Piedra.
18:00 Return to Valencia
It is important to wear comfortable shoes for walking in the park, sun cream, sunglasses. Water (very important).


You are not allowed to bring food into the monastery, but you can leave it in the bus.

Price: Until Wednesday 33 € and after 35 €.
Group of 5 or more people: Until Wednesday 32 € and after 34 €.

Protocolo Coronavirus VLE

In order to travel and enjoy safely we will have to follow these protocols to travel with VLE / CoAcad. First of all, if you feel some symptoms like fever / cough / respiratory problem you should not participate to the trip. Use of a mask will be mandatory at all times on the bus. The bus will be sanitized before and after each service. Before boarding the bus, temperature control will be done. Do not print a ticket to avoid handling paper, show us the QR code on your mobile or just tell us your name and surname. During the guided tour everybody will wear the mask.
