Montanejos + Activities (Hike/Raft/Kayak)
Swim in the Hot springs, take a beautiful hike, or feel an adrenalinerush while participating in one of our adventurous activities: Rafting / Canoa (Kayak).
Montanejos is an unimaginably beautiful & famous destination among foreigners and locals.Explore it together with international friends. We connect international travelers with local adventurers.
It is known for its natural beauty and for the water springs that have a constant temperature all year round of 20º-25ºC. So you can bathe even in winter.
There is a legend that says the Moorish king, Abu Zeit, built these baths so that the queens could have their baths there and would never lose their beauty.
What we will do in Montanejos:?
Montanejos is full day excursion in the nature. You can relax near the blue lagoon or participate in some adventurous activities : Hike / Rafting / Kayak in the lake. (Described down).
After the activities, you can go visit the charming village of Montanejos or have a snack and drink next to the river in the chiringuito (snack bar).
If you want to do more than just relax near the beautiful hot springs.
We have 3 different activities:

1. Hiking (Montanejos + Hiking): ± 3h
It is a trek of 9 kms with an medium level of dificulty where we will enjoy beautiful views of the canyons, the valley & and the Mijares River. We will visit the Black cave and enjoy a powerfull imprissive waterspout throwing 41,000 litres per second. It is a life time experience to have a look from this waterfall.
* There is so much humidity waterdrops in the air, so take small supermarket plastic bag (to put your electronic stuff, if they are not waterproof)
And later on we will enjoy the hot springs and have a picnic.
2. Rafting (Montanejos + Rafting): ± 3h
The best Rafting experience in Montanejos:
An activity full of adrenaline in the rapids of the Mijares river to live an unforgettable day with loads of memories with new friends.
The activity is organized in a collaboration with an experienced Adventurous sport company from Montanejos, with qualified guides and all the needed material.
It is class III level of rafting. It is not necessary to have previous experience, but you should be physically fit and know how to swim.
What is included: Professional Guide, Individual and team equipment (wetsuit, vest, paddle, helmet, Boat, Sticks), insurance and Photos.
What you should bring: Swimsuit, Shoes that can be wet, spare sneakers, towel and backpack to carry your clothes.
3. Kayak (Montanejos + Kayak): ± 3h
Kayak (Canoa) in the calm water of Arenoso reservoir of Montanejos, A beautiful place of natural beauty. After the activity we will enjoy the hot springs, have a picnic.
This activity is made in the collaboration of adventure sports company and includes all needed material for the activity. (vest, shovel, helmet), instructor and insurance.
Please bring : Swimsuit, Shoes can be wet, spare shoes, towel and backpack to take your clothes.
Program:
9:00 Departure
Meeting at 8:45 (be puntual please) in Avenida Aragón 31, in front of Mestalla and at 09:00 we leave.
Arrival and activities
Arriving and starting our optional activities. We will separate groups by different activities.
Hike/Raft/Kayak.
People who don’t want the activity can go to the hot springs.
After Activities:
After activities we will come back to the water springs, to have a bath, to picnic and have a rest.
17:30 Back to Valencia
We meet at 17:15 to go back to Valencia.
- – Beach material: towel, bathing suit, sun cream, volleyball, frisbee, etc…
- For Hiking: Appropriate Shoes (Hiking/Sports), Suncream and lot of water.
- For Rafting & Kayak: Swimsuit, Shoes that can be wet, spare sneakers, towel and backpack to carry your clothes
- Food and drinks: bring food and water for the whole day
Included:

For Activities: Professional Guide, individual and team equipment, insurance and photos.
Not included: All the extra and entry to the lake area.
