Hiking Montcabrer

One of the highest peak in the Valencian Community (1,390m), a beautiful route that includes the peaks of El Teix (1,264) and Montcabrer (1,390). 
It is also called, “Senda dels Navaters” or “Ruta de les Caves” because of famous structure of ICE storage cellars. Some of them are still preserved and shows an excellent example of this popular architecture.

Description of the hike

Distance: 16.11km (circular route)

Elevation gain: 943m

Difficulty: medium (You have to be physically fit and requires apropiate footwear and sun protection)

There is so much humidity waterdrops in the air, so take small supermarket plastic bag (to put your electronic stuff, if they are not waterproof)

The Montcabrer hiking trail is a challenging but rewarding experience that takes visitors through a variety of landscapes, including dense forests, rocky ridges, and open meadows. Along the way, hikers will encounter a variety of flora and fauna, including wildflowers, birds, and small mammals.

It is a circular trail, which means we will start and finish in the same place.
The difficulty is medium to high: it’s 943 meters of elevation in 16 kms. It is also a long trek, you have to be physically fit and/or have previous hiking experience. 

We will go with an official mountain guide & coordinator.

We will start the trail in Agres. The track begins with  steep ascent and repeats twice before arriving at the peak. Descent is not very difficult.
