The most beautiful village of Huesca, was declared a National Monument in 1931 and its urban center has been a Historic-Artistic Site since 1982.
It was founded by Sheikh Jalaf Ubn Rasid in the early ninth century and was conquered by Christians in 1083.
We will stroll through its streets with a guided tour, feeling like an ancient knight or a medieval lady, just like a trip back in time, because in this citadel time seems to stand still, preserving its beauty and uniqueness.
Old station of canfranc
You cannot miss the opportunity to visit a unique monument such as the impressive “Antigua Estación de Canfranc”, even nominated as an Asset of Cultural Interest and inaugurated on July 28, 1928. The last train stopped at the station 46 years ago and since then it has become a symbol for its beautiful French palatial architecture of the nineteenth century. Inside, you can immerse yourself in a surreal atmosphere thanks to the light filtering through the windows and the ghostly appearance of the building, which has been the setting for numerous films and movie productions.
Sallent de Gallego
Another very pretty village in the Pyrenees, surrounded by spectacular scenery and with interesting monuments in its historic center, such as the 16th century Gothic church and its medieval bridge. It is called the Spanish ski mecca, and is located at Formigal-Panticosa. We will have dinner in this village discovering its most beautiful streets and corners.
Western Valleys Natural Park
A untouched territory created by the action of glaciers on the border with France: enter the natural paradise of the Western Valleys Natural Park. We will walk through breathtaking landscapes on the most beautiful trails of the region. We will find glaciers on the highest peaks, jungles, lakes, rivers and forests. In addition, these green valleys are home to a rich fauna, such as the bear, the red kite and the bearded vulture.
Ordesa and Monte Perdido Natural Park
Take a walk with your friends in one of the most beautiful areas of the Pyrenees: Ordesa and Monte Perdido. This magnificent natural paradise located in a natural park was even declared a World Heritage Site in 1997. At least once in a lifetime you have to see the impressive waterfall of the national park, one of the highest in Europe, surrounded by its 15,608 hectares.
Ainsa is one of the most characteristic and beautiful villages of the Pyrenees, located on a picturesque promontory. You will be transported in a fairy tale with its stone streets, old houses and spectacular stone castle dating from the eleventh century. The castle of Ainsa has an impressive historical importance since the Middle Ages and has been the scene of the signing of political pacts, has suffered various dominations and has become the emblem of the region. The church of Santa María, in the town square, also exerts a strong fascination for its architecture and history.
