Albarracín, chosen as one of the most beautiful towns in Spain – taking promenades along this town, walking along the city wall and stepping into its monuments is like travelling to the Medieval ages, you will admire every corner, red-coloured houses, doors and ring bells, tiny windows with lace curtains or carved wood richly forged balconies. Not to mention wonderful sightseeing from uneven locations. The precious architectonic and urban legacy of this unique town breaths charm and rest.
TERUEL
Teruel, A World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is regarded as the “town of mudéjar” (Moorish-influenced architecture) due to numerous buildings designed in this style. All of them are comprised in the Mudéjar Architecture of Aragon. Teruel is the capital city of Teruel province in Aragon. It is noted for its harsh climate, its jamón serrano (cured ham), its pottery, its surrounding archaeological sites, rock outcrops containing some of the oldest dinosaur remains of the Iberian Peninsula, and its famous events.
Special visit to Albarracín Cathedral
It is a privilege to visit the Albarracín Cathedral, what is normally closed to public and they will open only for us to visit it. Thanks to a collaboration between VLE the fundación who is restoring the building.
Program:
08:30 Departure
We will meet at 8:15 in front of Mestalla (Avenida Aragon 31) and depart from Valencia at 08:30.
Visiting Albarracin
Once we arrive we will have time to explore the city.
15:15 Leaving to Teruel
Then we will have time to see the city, eat and drink something
18:00 Return to Valencia
We will meet at 18:00 at the bus.
