Hiking Montcabrer

One of the highest peak in C. Valenciana (1,390m) A beautiful route that includes the peaks of El Teix (1,264) and Montcabrer (1,390).
It is also called, “Senda dels Navaters” or “Ruta de les Caves” because of famous structure of ICE storage cellars. Some of them are still preserved and shows an excellent example of this popular architecture. They used this cellars to preserve the ice for food for medicines and other uses.

Uno de los picos más altos de la C. Valenciana (1.390m) Una preciosa ruta que incluye los picos de El Teix (1.264) y Montcabrer (1.390).
También se le llama, “Senda dels Navaters” o “Ruta de les Caves” debido a la famosa estructura de las bodegas de almacenamiento ICE. Algunos de ellos aún se conservan y muestran un excelente ejemplo de esta arquitectura popular. Utilizaban estas bodegas para conservar el hielo para alimentos para medicinas y otros usos.
