Get ready for an unforgettable Erasmus experience in Valencia! The Erasmus Welcome Weekend is the perfect way to meet students from all over the world, make new friends, enjoy some of Valencia’s best parties and discover the city from day one. With VLE (Valencia Language Exchange), you’ll enjoy a mix of parties, local experiences, culture and gastronomy — from a catamaran party on the Mediterranean and a sunset at Albufera to authentic Valencian paella and exploring the city.
Every year, Valencia Language Exchange (VLE), together with Visit Valencia, the Patronato de Turisme de València and local universities, welcomes new international and Erasmus students to Valencia.We combine the best of Valencia’s culture, gastronomy, local life and nightlife to give you the perfect introduction to your new city. Whether you want to meet new people, discover Valencia, practise Spanish or simply have an amazing time, the Erasmus Welcome Weekend is the perfect place to start.
Since 2013, Valencia Language Exchange (VLE) and Visit Valencia, in collaboration with the València Province Tourism Board and the València Region Tourism Board, have been inviting exchange students (Erasmus) to enjoy a fun-filled weekend while discovering the beautiful city of Valencia and its surroundings.
VLE is officially one of the Board of Directors of Education Committee Valencia —the committee responsible for extracurricular education in the city. This event is also co-organized with their support.
ALBUFERA TRIP (BEACH & BOAT + SUNSET) Afternoon 14:00
Join us on a trip to the biggest lake in Spain with the largest bird reserve, the loveliest sunset in the middle of the lake, and enjoy the day at one of the best beaches in Valencia with your new friends.
Program: We will meet at 13:45 and leave at 14:00 (Meeting Point: Avenida de Aragón 31) to go to the beach by bus and afterwards, at 17:30 we will enjoy the boat trip after come back to Valencia by bus.
We will go to the beach, play games, swim, get to know each other and fall in love with the incredible sunset!

Beautiful city of Valencia offers a unique blend of history, culture, architecture, and natural beauty, making it a must-visit destination and perfect city to live in. We’ll have an OFFICIAL guided tour with the focus on GREEN CITY, and after the guided tour we will invite you to visit a museum. (Still have to decide which one, info very soon)

After the Horchata tasting, you will have the opportunity to meet new and old students. We will meet at 17:00 to play volleyball and after that we will stay at the beach to play volley and have fun.

These events are offered by Valencia Language Exchange Member of (Board of Directors of Education Committee Valencia) and Turismo Valencia with the collaboration of the Patronato de Turismo de la Diputación de València (València Provincial Council) & the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports.
Conditions: To assure your place you will pay 10 euros, and if you come, we will refund you in the form of 2 vouchers (Usable in our 2025 event & trips, 1 for the event & 1 for the trip). In case of the guided tour and orxata you pay 5€ and the voucher will be 5€ for an excursion.
Guided tour, horchata tasting and paella experience will be refunded to all students with a voucher. (Even you are not erasmus)
Reason to pay: Five years ago, when we first offered a free trip, more than 200 people registered, but on the day of the trip, many of them didn’t appear, and many other people who really wanted to participate couldn’t participate. So we have decided to charge money, and if you come, we will refund you in the form of a voucher that you can use for the whole year and for any events or trips organised by us (VLE or Wexcursion).

What is included:
Volley playa: Fun Tournament of volley with organization, music in the chiringuito (It is not very loud but nice)
Boat party: (1h boat trip with music and unforgettable party)
Albufera: Transport + Beach time + Boart ride + Trasport back
Paella cooking show: (The ingredients, Paella Cooking Show and lunch)
Guided Tour: 2h official Valencia tourisme guide + One entry to musuem (Info soon)
IMPORTANT:
Cancellation is possible up to 1 week before (For Boat party until 20/09/25 and for rest 27/09) – you’ll receive refund in form of a voucher, if you cancel after these dates – NO REFUND
To get the voucher you have to participate and show us an official accreditation (Erasmus card or letter) showing that you are an ERASMUS STUDENT.
WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY PRIVATE ERASMUS COMPANY CARDS!
If you don’t show the official accreditation for Erasmus student, you will have to pay the difference of Non Erasmus ticket or you will be refused to participate.
Only one voucher can be refunded for either the Albufera trip or the Catamaran Party. Even if you purchase both, the refund applies to just one event.
