FONT ROJA
Font Roja was declared as a Natural Park by the Generalitat Valenciana in 1987, thus becoming the first natural park in the Valencian Community.
The Natural Park has the greatest biodiversity in the entire community, with more than 2,400 cataloged species, and one of the best examples of a mixed Mediterranean forest, hosting deciduous species such as maples, ash trees, and gall oaks (called Valencian oak). It is located between the towns of Alcoy and Ibi and is one of the best-preserved natural areas in the Valencian Community. Font Roja also presents a great diversity of environments of high ecological, landscape value and is a special bird protection zone (ZEPA) as well as a place of community interest (SCI).
The chromaticism of the deciduous forest above 1200 meters is simply spectacular; maple trees, Valencian oak, mostajo, and of course, holm oak, give the space a unique color, especially in autumn and spring. It consists of a route through the most important areas from the environmental point of view, observing and delighting ourselves with spectacular vegetation, but also visiting the buildings and constructions that are a trace of a man has left while living years ago. Font Roja is a worth visiting national park that is not only beautiful with panoramic views but also has an environmental, heritage, and anthropological value.

Meeting point Avenida Aragon 31 (in front of Mestalla), please arrive 15min before.
Arrival & the hike to Font Roja
Once we arrive, we’ll stop to have brunch and start the Hike. On the half hike we will have a break for lunch.
End of the hike
Once we finish the route we will have time to have some drinks, (probably we will go to near village /city) and take some drinks.
17:30 Back to Valencia
We’ll meet at the bus to come back to Valencia.
