Beach, sand dunes & castle Sunday 11/10/20
(Info in Spanish)

GUARDAMAR DEL SEGURA

Famous for its beautiful sand DUNES, lovely beaches,  and the castle.

Its 11 km of beach have been declared a Place of Community Interest (SCI), as it is one of the most beautiful natural areas of the Costa Blanca. It is an environment in which 80% of its territory is protected. Among the most representative places, the Pinada de Guardamar stands out, the most spectacular dune forest in the Spanish Mediterranean.  In addition, its small fishing port located at the mouth of the Segura River and the neighboring salt lakes are authentic sanctuaries for migratory birds.

Guardamar de Segura is located in the south of the Valencian Community and the Costa Blanca. It is a national and international tourist destination that shows the visitor the beauty of a unique environment with its wonderful sand beaches that range from the most cosmopolitan as the Platja Centre to the wildest and loneliest as the Platja els Tossals. Surrounded by a landscape of dunes, palm groves and eucalyptus trees, Guardamar stands out for its cultivation of ñora and fishing of the prized shrimp.

GUARDAMAR CASTLE

The Castle of Guardamar del Segura is located on top of a rocky hill from which the walls surrounding the town started and from which you can see a wide panoramic view, which includes the whole coastal bay and the lands of the Bajo Segura. There are also several walking trails around the Castle where you can enjoy a good sunset or sunrise.

Let your imagination fly and enjoy the experience!
