A Mountain Range Steeped in History and Beauty

Nestled between the regions of El Comtat, L’Alcoià, and Vall d’Albaida, this mountain range reaches a height of 1,390 meters at the summit of Montcabrer, ranking as the third highest peak in Alicante.
Along this route, you’ll encounter iconic landmarks such as the castles of Barxell, Cocentaina, Banyeres de Mariola, Vinalopó, del Convento, and the Torreta de Agre. Additionally, the Cova de Bolumini in Alfafara offers evidence of human habitation dating back millennia, adding a historical touch to this beautiful landscape.

09:00 Departure from Valencia

Departure from Valencia is at 9 am. We meet at 08:45 in front of Mestalla (Avenida de Argon, 31)

Arriving and Hike

We arrive, have a coffee break and start the hike.

Lunch

In the middle of the route we will make a stop to eat something for lunch.

FInish the Hike

Once we finish the hike, we will go to a nearby town to have a drink and return to Valencia.

18:00 Heading back to Valencia

We will meet at the bus at 17:45 to head back to Valencia.

The Castell de Polpís,  sits atop the Serra d’Irta, including walls, a cistern, and a gate, are still visible. Over time, the Orders of Calatrava and the Temple made modifications. Conquered in 1233 by the Templar Master, the castle later belonged to the Order of Montesa. This irregularly shaped fortress, covering 2200 m², features a central courtyard, a prominent keep, and ruins of the ancient settlement of Polpís.

How can you book the trip?

You can book on the website or at our office in Plaza Honduras, 26 from 09:30 to 14:30.

Do I have to book in advance or can I pay on the day of travel?

Yes, it is necessary to book in advance, as we cannot guarantee that there will be places available on that day.

What are the cancellation policies?

Cancellation policy: Until one week before, 100% refund in form of money/voucher whatever you prefer. From 1 week to 72 hours before  100% only in form of voucher. After 72 hours NO REFUND.

In case of medical emergency / Force Majeure (With justification) 24 hours before only voucher after NO REFUND.

Where does the bus leave from?

Normally our buses leave from Avenida Aragón 31 (Mestalla). However, after booking, you will receive all the details with the ticket by email (please check your spam folder in case you receive the email immediately after booking).
