What are the two most famous gastronomic things in Valencia? Orange and Paella of course.
Surely you have already noticed walking through the streets, oranges everywhere and the aroma of paella.
Do you know the right way to pick oranges and cook paella?
It’s time to pick your own oranges and cook paella.
One expert will teach us how to pick oranges the right way and another how to cook paella (cooking show, below).
Paella Cooking Show
A master paella maker will teach us how to make paella, the ingredients, the correct way to make it etc.. Then we can eat the same paella (There will be a vegetarian paella too). He will also teach us how to make sangria.
Did you know that Valencia started growing oranges in 1781 and Paella is actually the frying pan where paella is cooked. Paella was the food of farm workers, made in the fields with rice, and what they found in the fields (tomatoes, onions and snails, with some beans added for flavor and texture).
You can choose how to take it (metro/bus/car), the important thing is to be at 11:00 a.m. in the “Picassent” metro station

When we arrive we will be divided into groups for the different activities: a class on how to pick oranges and a class on preparing sangria.
After these classes we will attend a paella preparation class.
After the activities we eat paella together (we will have a vegetarian one too).
You can take your drinks or buy them there (cheap price).We return around 4:00/4:30 p.m.

09:00 Leave Valencia
Departure by subway from Valencia (to Picassent) We will send you more details when you make your reservation.
10:30 arrival
Upon arrival we will divide into two groups, one group will learn how to pick oranges and the other group will learn how to make sangria and then vice versa.
13:00 Paella cooking show
A Master cooking show will teach you how to make paella. and about 14:00 – 14:30 La Paella.
16:00 - 16:30
Around 16:30, we will go to the subway and return to valencia.

Frequenlty asked questions for paellas
Políticas de cancelación y anulación de eventos: Los tickets no son reembolsables a menos que sea por fuerza mayor. En caso de mal tiempo, si el VLE decide posponer el evento, todos los participantes serán notificados y serás libre de decidir unirse o rechazar la fecha pospuesta. En caso de que decidas rechazar la fecha aplazada se te reembolsará el dinero.
En cualquier caso, la tarifa de reserva no es reembolsable.
